Privacy Policy

First & Found (also written First and Found) is a digital marketing agency based in Alberta, Canada. We build websites and run search, advertising, and analytics programs for business clients.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. It records information such as the pages you visit, your approximate location (city or region level, derived from your IP address), your device and browser type, and how you arrived. We review this in aggregate to improve the site.

Contact and booking forms. If you submit a form, we collect what you enter: typically your name, email address, and message. We use it only to reply to you and to follow up about the work you asked about.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

This section describes how our internal tool, First and Found Ads Tools, handles data accessed through Google APIs.

How we access it. Our internal tools access Google user data through Google APIs, including Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager. Access happens solely with the authorization of the account owner, granted through Google's OAuth consent screen.

Why we access it. We access this data solely to provide advertising-management services to our clients: campaign configuration and optimization, performance reporting, audience management, and conversion tracking and management.

Limits on our use of it. Specifically:

• We access only the data needed to provide these services, and nothing more.
• We do not sell Google user data.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition in which the receiving party is bound by equivalent protections.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising other than advertising carried out on behalf of the client who authorized the access.
• Humans do not read Google user data, except with the client's permission for specific support purposes, where necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

Advertising data supplied by a client or generated for a client, including campaign settings, performance metrics, and conversion data, is used only for that client's own account and engagement. We retain it only as long as the engagement requires. We never share, pool, or benchmark one client's data with or against another client's.

Credentials and client data are stored on access-controlled systems, restricted to the people who need them to do the work. Access is protected by strong authentication and reviewed as engagements change.

OAuth tokens are revocable at any time. An account owner can review and revoke our access from their Google account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops any further data access immediately.

We retain personal information and client data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or for the length of the engagement, plus any period required by law.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing adam@firstandfound.com. We respond within 30 days.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Under PIPEDA you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and why we collected it, and to request access to it or correction of it.
